This lesson is broken down into three different levels. Find the level that fits your skill level and start learning! Have Fun!
Level 1- Basic
This level uses the D string, the third fret of the A string (called C), and the third fret of the low E (called G). If you are at this level don’t worry about which fingers you are using, but work on getting correct rhythms and clear sounds from each note you play. Check out the tab below.

Level 2- Intermediate
In this level you will start to use chords, but not the complete rhythm of of the song. Make sure you are using the correct fingerings for each chord and are getting clear sounds from each string. Work as slow as you need, but STAY ON BEAT. The most important aspect of moving forward is maintaining whatever speed you choose and not fluctuating. It is better to be slow and accurate than fast and inconsistent. Remember to keep your third finger in it’s place between D and C and your third and fourth in place between C and G. Make sure you lead with your second finger each time. See the tab below:
Level 3- Advanced
In this level you are ready to play the riff as it is played in the song. Remember to keep your third finger in it’s place between D and C and your third and fourth in place between C and G. Make sure you lead with your second finger each time. The chords are played the same each time, but the riff after the G chord varies slightly each time.
