Level 1
Smoke on the Water has been a popular beginner riff for as long as I can remember. There are many ways you can use level 1 techniques for this one. For the main riff in level 2, pick one string to play out of the two to get used to the motion and add the other string when you are comfortable. To play along with the verse, just play the first note of the verse riff on quarter notes. Below I have a version of the song using the low E and A strings. Hope you enjoy!
